SONHACHNEK

One of the youngest Ukrainian groups in Brazil, the Sonhachnek Ukrainian Folkloric Group counts today with 62 components in its cast.

Presenting its shows for the whole Brazil, the Group has as main objective to preserve and to disclose the milenar Ukrainian Culture, that per decades it is passed of generation for generation, forming a very strong link with the past of its ancestral ones and with its traditions.

The Meaning and the Philosophy

"Sonhachnek", in the Ukrainian language means "sunflower ", symbol of the wealth and of the gratitude.
The Group chose it as slogan, for wanting to preserve the wealth of the Ukrainian culture and to be always thankful to God for the received talents.

Message of the Group

"To take our work ahead, a lot of times without financial conditions and with the setbacks of the day by day, it should be placed above all the soul and the spirit, facing with a lot of responsibility all the difficulties and proving that the culture elevates the concept of a people, for simpler than he is".
